What is EconomyShopGUI?

EconomyShopGUI is a ready-to-use server shop presented through clean chest-style GUI menus. Players open the shop, browse items organised into categories, and buy or sell with a click; sell-all and sell-hand options make offloading loot quick. Prices can be static or dynamic (adjusting with supply and demand), transactions are logged, and it hooks PlaceholderAPI for displaying shop data. Because it ships with a sensible default item list across many categories, it is one of the fastest ways to give a survival economy a functioning central shop without configuring every item by hand.

Who it's for: Survival and economy servers that want an admin-run central shop up and running quickly, with categories and buy/sell already populated rather than built from scratch. It is built and maintained by GKPlugins and sits in the economy category, and is a premium (paid) plugin.

How to install EconomyShopGUI

EconomyShopGUI runs on Spigot or Paper servers. GKPlugins maintains EconomyShopGUI for current Spigot/Paper versions; the premium edition extends the free base with additional features.

  1. 1Stop your server, or have it ready to restart. Always back up your world and plugins folder before adding a new plugin.
  2. 2Download EconomyShopGUI.jar (a build matching your server version) and place it in your server's /plugins folder.
  3. 3EconomyShopGUI requires Vault — install that plugin first or EconomyShopGUI will not start.
  4. 4Start the server fully. EconomyShopGUI generates its configuration files on first launch — stop the server, edit them to taste, then start again.
  5. 5Confirm it loaded by checking the console for EconomyShopGUI on startup, or by running one of its commands in-game.

Note: EconomyShopGUI requires Vault and an economy plugin (such as EssentialsX) to hold balances. Drop the jar into /plugins and restart; it generates shop config with a default catalogue you can edit. The premium build is the licensed version that unlocks extra shop and pricing features beyond the free base.

EconomyShopGUI FAQ

Does EconomyShopGUI need an economy plugin?

Yes. It handles the shop interface and pricing but relies on Vault and an economy plugin (EssentialsX, CMI or similar) to store and move money. Install Vault and an economy provider first, or the shop has no currency to transact in.

How do players sell items quickly?

Beyond opening /shop and selling from the sell menu, players can use /sellhand to sell the held stack and /sellall to sell every sellable item in their inventory in one command. These shortcuts make grinding-and-selling loops fast without opening menus repeatedly.

Can prices change with supply and demand?

Yes. EconomyShopGUI supports dynamic pricing where an item's buy and sell price shifts based on how much players trade it, which keeps a market lively and discourages infinite-money exploits. You can also keep static prices per item if you prefer predictable values.

What is the difference between the free and premium versions?

The free version provides the full GUI shop with categories and buy/sell. The premium edition adds extra capabilities (such as more advanced shop types and features) on top. The catalogue and core shopping experience work on the free version; premium raises the ceiling.

How do I change what the shop sells?

Edit the generated shop configuration files, or use /shopeditor in game to adjust items, categories and prices visually. The plugin ships with a populated default catalogue, so you can launch immediately and then tune the list and prices to your server's economy.
